Our office was requested to undertake the conservation and contemporary extension of a beautiful Portuguese styled Goan house and site in Verla Canca, Goa. The design focuses on creating a balance between the structural instability of the original building, the space & vaastu requirements of the client and conservation of the values of the old house. The old core of the original house has been converted into a double height living room with a swimming pool coming into it from the west. The balcao serves as the drawing room.
